NAHR Fellows in the Classroom
NAHR Fellows in the Classroom
Since 2020, Fellows in the Classroom has brought NAHR Fellows into undergraduate and graduate classrooms, both in-person and virtually, to share the latest developments in Human Resources. By presenting real-world case studies, they enrich MBA and HR curricula, bridging theory with practical, hands-on insights.
Desired Outcome:
Create a structured framework that connects current and former CHROs, particularly NAHR Fellows, with higher education classrooms. This initiative will match CHROs with higher education institutions interested in hosting Guest Speakers, Adjunct Faculty, or Executives in Residence, either in-person or through virtual sessions.
Objectives of this Initiative:
- Expand our impact by exposing students in HR-related programs (Masters or Undergraduate) to current trends, practices, and real-world insights from seasoned professionals.
- Increase awareness of the HR field among graduate and undergraduate students to attract top talent into the profession.
- Introduce undergraduate business students and General Management MBA students to HR, highlighting its strategic value within organizations.
- Promote diversity by focusing on historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) and Hispanic-Serving Institutions (HSIs).
- Support the recruitment and hiring of graduating students and interns from key academic institutions.
Potential Audiences:
- Graduate and undergraduate HR students eager to learn about the latest developments and best practices in HR or interested in specific HR-related topics. This audience has traditionally been a key focus of the initiative, benefiting from engaging content and dynamic discussions with Fellows. It also provides a valuable opportunity for future recruitment of students into entry-level roles.
- Graduate and undergraduate students who may not have considered HR as a career but would benefit from understanding the "why" and "what" of HR as a profession.
-
Undergraduate business students and General Management MBA students who may not fully grasp the strategic role of HR in organizations, but would gain valuable insights into how HR can drive organizational success.
